We are thinking about buying some property in HLE and would like to talk with the president of the homeowners association.

This is not an HLECC website. It is a resident’s group and sadly, I do not have contact information for the Chairman of the HLECC.

I just read the original deed restrictions and have a couple questions. I did not see any mention of fencing. Can a fence be installed in the back yard of a lake front lot? If yes are there any requirements that need to be met?

Is there an active architectural committee to approve the addition of a storage building/hobby workshop?
If yes are professional drawings required to be submitted or is homeowner drawings acceptable?

Please reply ASAP as we are trying to bid on a home now.

    Thank you
    Wayne Thomas

I will email you a document of the current Board members. I can tell you, Wayne, that a number of people have fences in the lake from yards. Polk County would need to be contacted for any building or home additions. I will email that link to you too.
