{"id":743,"date":"2017-02-12T09:07:39","date_gmt":"2017-02-12T15:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hoa-poa.com\/hlerg\/?p=743"},"modified":"2017-04-24T11:47:38","modified_gmt":"2017-04-24T16:47:38","slug":"good-practice-modifying-property-owner-association-governing-documents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hoa-poa.com\/hlerg\/good-practice-modifying-property-owner-association-governing-documents\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Practice &#8211; Modifying Property Owner Association Governing Documents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After going through some examples of changes made to governing documents by our property owners&#8217; association, I am trying to put together a group of &#8216;best practices&#8217;, based on these examples and Texas state statutes.\u00a0 I personally prefer the way that Texas changes their statutes, but this may not be useful to all property or homeowner associations.\u00a0 Here is an example I put together of\u00a0 &#8216;good&#8217; practice. Note the difference between a modification and a complete revision of an Article.<\/p>\n<p>This example clearly defines the Articles and items within them to be changed, but it does include several different changes.
