In many of the Texas statutes, for instance the 211, you will find a list of items listed that are connected with semicolons. In the second to the last item, there will often be an AND or and OR. The <strong>AND<\/strong> means the list of items is<strong> &#8216;conjunctive&#8217;<\/strong>. Conjunctive means that all items within the list must be included to allow that &#8216;rule&#8217; of the statute. The <strong>OR<\/strong> is <strong>&#8216;disjunctive&#8217;<\/strong>, meaning that any item in the list can be true to apply that &#8216;rule&#8217; of the statute.
